<p>A local area public telephone network is converted to a digital broadband communication network by installing inverse multiplexers (IM) in network nodes (CAB) in order to utilize the aggregated bandwidth from groups of twisted pair lines being equipped with means deriving maximum bit rates from each included line in existing telephone cables. The inverse multiplexers may operate with data sequence numbering techniques or bit rate-dependent line sequencing schemes.</p> |
