Extruded material regulation using elastic feed tube

The delivery of an extruded material such as a ceramic material is regulated by passing through a flexible tube (7). The cross sectional area is varied by a linear actuator (11) operating on a bar (10) . Built into the actuator system is a linear position transducer (12) that allows accurate control of the regulation.
