The present invention relates to a voltage controlled oscillator, comprising a resonance circuit (1, 31) to provide an oscillation signal, a tuning circuit (2, 32) which is connected to the resonance circuit (1, 31) and determines the frequency of the oscillation signal, whereby the tuning circuit (2, 32) includes electrically controlled adjustment means (13, 47) to tune the frequency of the oscillation signal, and a temperature detection means (3, 33) for temperature compensation of the frequency of the oscillation signal.
