Organic, polymeric, anionic, water-soluble flocculators are used in the phase separation of organic-aqueous systems containing essentially monomeric acrylates, diacrylates, (poly)ester- or (poly)ether-acrylates and unreacted residues of alcohols and carboxylic acids or anhydrides used for acrylate production. An Independent claim is also included for he production of acrylates by: (a) condensation of alcohol(s) with alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid(s) or anhydride(s) in organic media; and (b) washing the organic phase with an organic washing agent. |
