The appliance has an up-and-down moving punching die (3,4) which is in the form of a cutter table (17) and cutter blade (11) with disposal unit (24-27) for the punched-out slug (2). The disposal unit incorporates a pressure element in the form of a piston-cylinder unit (14) positioned near the top cutter blade and pushing the punched-out slug into a recess (18) in an underneath cutter table beneath the punching plane (A). The slug is pushed out of the recess by an ejector element (25) which pushes it to a disposal element. The piston cylinder unit has a pressure plate (16) on the free end of the piston rod (15). A preferably rubber clamping element (13) is near the cutter blade and rests on top of the packs of bags during the punching operation. |
