PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a skin preparation, excellent in improving the action on skin roughening, having excellent effects on improvement and prophylaxis of various dermatoses, skin roughening and dry skin and excellent in safety by making the preparation include a solvent extract from Cuachalalate (botanical name: Juliania adstringens). SOLUTION: This skin preparation for external use is obtained by including a solvent extract from Cuachalalate prepared by dipping or heating, e.g. leaves, stems, flowers, etc., of the Cuachalalate under refluxing together with an extracting solvent such as ethanol, filtering the resultant extract and concentrating the filtered extract in an amount of 0.01-10.0 wt.% based on the total amount of the preparation for external use and expressed in terms of a dried substance. The preparation for external use can be applied in any dosage form such as an ointment, a cream or an emulsified lotion. |
