PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metallic mold for casting, by which the poured casting can easily be taken out from the mold. SOLUTION: The metallic mold 1 for casting is formed of a lower mold 2 and an upper mold 3 provided with a sand-made sprue formed body 4 in a through-hole 11 therein. The bottom part 28 the sand-made sprue formed body 4 formed as truncated cone is closely attached to the inner wall surface 29 of the through-hole 11, and the bottom surface 14 is supported with pins 9, and the bottom surface 14 and the top surface 15 of a projecting part 13 are disposed as the same plane. A filter member 18 is inserted into the bottom part 19 of the sprue 16 in the sand-made sprue formed body 4 and also, the bottom surface 19 of the filter member 18 and the bottom surface 14 of the sprue formed body 4 are disposed as the same plane. Molten metal poured into the metallic mold 1 for casting is cooled and solidified, and the sand-made sprue formed body 4 is collapsed after taking out from the upper mold 3 together with the casting, and successively, the casting having the product shape can be obtd. by hitting the sprue portion in the casting. |
