PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound having reactivity with bendiocarb. SOLUTION: This compound is expressed by formula I [A is O-CO-NH or the like; (n) is 1-10], for example, a compound of formula II. For example, the compound of formula I (A is O-CO-NH) is obtained by reacting a compound of formula III with a formate ester of the formula: L<1> -CO-O-C(L<2> )3 (L<1> and L<2> are each a halogen) and an amine compound of formula: H2 N-(CH2 )n -COOP (P is a carboxyl-protecting group) in a solvent such as dichloromethane in the presence of a base such as triethylamine at a temperature of -20 deg.C to the boiling point of the solvent, and subsequently removing the carboxyl group from the obtained compound of formula IV in the presence of an acid or an alkali.
