<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce transmission of noise from a fuel pump to a cabin while reducing shocks upon the fuel pump upon collision of a vehicle or the like, in such a case that the fuel pump is attached and fixed in front of a diesel engine which is transversely mounted in the front part of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A high temperature side cooling water pipe 34 having a rigidity, for discharging cooling water from an engine 1 transversely mounted, and supplying the same into a radiator in front of the engine 1, is connected and fixed in its rear end part to the engine 1, and is extended, on its front end side, in front of a fuel pump 14 so that the fuel pump is protected by the cooling water pipe 34. Further, a sound shield cover 48 is provided covering over a zone extending a position above the cylinder head cover the engine 1 to a position above the fuel pump 14, the sound shield cover 48 is supported in its rear part on the cylinder head cover of the engine 1, and in its front part on the cooling water pipe 34. Thereby it is possible to damp and shut off operating sound from the fuel pump 14 while restraining the operating sound of the fuel pump 14 from being transmitted to the sound shield cover 48 or restraining occurrence of vibration and chattering sound of the sound shield cover 48.</p> |
