PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively remove the dust in the waste gas of an ash melting furnace. SOLUTION: The waste gas 6 discharged from an ash melting furnace 1 is wet-treated by this wet waste gas treating device. The device is provided with a bubbling tank 2 for bubbling the waste gas 6 from the furnace 1 through a liq. absorbent 8 in the tank, a jet scrubber 3 for bringing the waste gas 6 from the tank 2 into contact with the jet stream of the absorbent 8 and an electrostatic precipitator 4 for passing the waste gas 6 from the scrubber 3 between the opposing electrodes impressed with a high voltage and washing away the fine particles adsorbed on the one electrode by the adsorbent 8.
