PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink-jet head of low voltage and high responsivity. SOLUTION: An ink-jet head 51 has ink pressure chambers 43 each having a discharge port and an ink feed port with one inner wall face constituted of a flexible plate 39 of an insulating body, a common electrode 23 set at the ink pressure chamber 43 to confront the flexible plate 39 and a signal electrode 45 set at the flexible plate 39 to face the common electrode 23. The flexible plate 39 is deformed inward of the ink pressure chamber 43 by an electrostatic force generated with the impression of a voltage to the common electrode 23 and signal electrode 45, whereby the ink in the ink pressure chamber is jetted as ink drops from the discharge port. |
