PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a thermal recording body having small ground fogging, and being excellent in readability of a recorded part even in the case of being exposed to heat after recording. SOLUTION: The thermal recording body is formed by laminating in turn an undercoating layer and thermal recording layer containing a leuco dye and developer, in which the undercoating layer is allowed to contain a decoloring agent having a decoloring property relative to a leuco dye, and the thermal recording layer is allowed to contain a preservative modifier. The decoloring agent is an organic salt compound, and the preservative modifier is an epoxy compound such as 4-benzyloxyphenyl-4,-(2-metnyl-2,3-epoxy propyloxy)phenyl sulfone. |
