PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and quickly manufacture a product having a favorable trasnmittance by a method wherein a shape corresponding to a plurality of minute lens surfaces are formed by a plurality of dents having a center-line mean roughness ranging over a specified domain. SOLUTION: By transferring the shape and surface roughness of a plurality of dents to a plurality of minute lens surfaces, a micro lens array, the respective minute lens surface having a surface roughness of 0.005 Ra 75-0.2 Ra 75 in center-line mean. A mold matrix made of a martensite-based stainless steel is prepared at the step 10. The predetermined surface, (of which a cavity surface is made and which is henceforth expressed as the cavity surface) is subject to metal polishing so as to form the cavity surface having the surface center-line mean roughness of 0.005 Ra 75-0.013 Ra 75 at the step 11. Next, a large number of dents are formed on the cavity surface of the mold matrix with an indenter pressing device at the step 12 so as to obtain a micro lens array forming mold at the step 13. |
