PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the degree of freedom of layout by shortening the depth length of a chair itself even while securing a prescribed chair front and back interval and to provide the armrest of a sufficient length. SOLUTION: This chair is provided with a seat 2 supported tiltably between a sitting position and a standing position by a seat receiver 6, an energizing means 12 for energizing the seat 2 in the direction of the standing position, a backrest 3 tiltably supported by the seat receiver 6 and a connection means 30 for connecting the backrest 3 to the seat receiver 2. Then, the backrest 3 is tilted backwards linked with the tilting of the seat 2 in the direction of the sitting direction, an opening angleθwith the seat 2 is maximized when the seat 2 is positioned at the sitting position, it is tilted forwards and erected linked with the tilting of the seat 2 in the direction of the standing position and the opening angleθis minimized when the seat 2 is in a standing position state.
