发明名称 PLASTIC PIGMENT HAVING VOID STRUCTURE AND ITS PRODUCTION
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microparticulate plastic pigment composed of at least a core and a shell and having hiding power and whiteness in virtue that at least either of the core or the shell has a void structure, and the glass transition temperature of the shell is lower than that of the core by 70-120 deg.C and to provide a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: A plastic pigment having a void structure is obtained by the step of adding an acrylic monomer emulsion containing an acid-group-containing monomer to water and agitating the mixture to obtain a core latex and the step of adding an acrylic monomer emulsion to the core latex, polymerizing the resultant mixture to form a first shell, subsequently adding an alkali to swell the first shell, adding a styrene monomer emulsion, and polymerizing the monomer to form a shell.
