PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for a corrosion resistant blade having characteristics such as excellent corrosion resistance, excellent moldability for a blade shape, high hardness in a cutting blade edge and hardly generating a nick of a blade. SOLUTION: A build-up alloy 3 consisting of a Co alloy or Ni alloy incorporating, by mass in percentage content of alloy elements, 10-25% Cr, 1.9-4.7% C, 8-20 % V is built-up to a base metal 1 consisting of steel incorporating, by weight in percentage content of allay elements, 0.03-1.0% C, 10-25% Cr by a powder build-up method using a plasma transfer arc. Whereby, the hardness of the build-up alloy 3 is made to 55-65 HRC and moreover the size of carbide incorporated in the build-up alloy 3 is specified to <=10μm. The base metal 1 is allowed to further incorporate, by weight, 0.1-20% Ni, 1-5% Mo, Nb, Ti. Also, the build-up alloy 3 is allowed to further incorporate, by weight, 0.1-5% Mo, Nb.
