PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire hydrant having excellent corrosion resistance and durability by constituting the fire hydrant of a body made of stainless steel. SOLUTION: In a main body 1, a flange 2 made of stainless steel is welded at the lover end of a cylindrical body section 3 consisting of a pipe made of stainless steel, a head section 4, in which an opening section 7 is formed at a center and which is formed in a curved shape, is formed integrally at an upper end and the fringe of a plate piece 14 formed to a mounting member 10 made of stainless steel is welded to the opening section 7. A support member 11 made of stainless steel is screwed to the mounting member 10, the operating member 20 of a valve mechanism is supported rotatably to the support member 11, a discharge outlet 9 is shaped to the upper-end side face of the body section 3, a thread ring 27 made of stainless steel is welded to the discharge outlet 9 and a connecting mechanism 30, to which a fire hose is connected, is set up to the thread ring 27. |
