PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new immunoglobulin heavy chain transgene containing DNA encoding respective segments of a variable region, a diverse gene, a connecting gene and a constant region, capable of rearranging endogenously and providing a heavy chain gene and useful for the production, etc., of a heteroantibody. SOLUTION: This new isolated immunoglobulin heavy chain transgene contains a DNA encoding at least one variable region segment, one diverse gene segment, one connecting gene segment and one constant region gene segment and each of the gene segments is induced from a DNA corresponding to an immunoglobulin heavy chain gene segment from the same species or an individual of the specifies. The segments rearranged endogenously and are capable of forming a rearranged gene encoding a heavy chain polypeptide. Thereby, the transgene is useful for producing a heteroantibody containing a heavy chain usually unfound in a nonhuman animal genome with a transgenic nonhuman animal. |
