PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance gas treating element using a titanium oxide carrying holed sheet and an electrostatic filter and satisfying the whole of required performance such as miniaturization, effective utilization of light emitted by an ultraviolet lamp, prevention of increase in pressure loss, prolongation of service life, dust removing performance, economicitycally, simplicity, and handleability. SOLUTION: A titanium oxide carrying holed sheet 1 in which a lot of holes 1b consisting of through-holes or pawl-shaped notches that can be raised are provided on a base material sheet 1a on which photocatalyst titanium oxide is carried and an electrostatic filter 2 are arranged laminated or adjacent to each other in the pleated state so that peaks and valleys of the pleated two are matched with each other respectively. A particularly preferable state is that in which the back faces of the raised pawls are substantially all directed to the ridges of the peaks or the web faces of the raised pawls are substially all directed toward the ridges of the peaks. |
