PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of an odor decomposition capacity in a catalyst portion by a method in which an exhaust gas which passed through an exhaust gas introduction passage and was heated is introduced from a zone downstream from the heating means of the passage, is passed through an oxidation catalyst to be oxidation-deodorized, and is discharged from an exhaust gas discharge passage. SOLUTION: A deodorization apparatus 11 comprises the second upstream pipe 10b downstream part of an exhaust gas passage to be an exhaust gas introduction passage to an oxidation catalyst 21 portion, an oxidation catalyst 21, a heater 24, and an insulating material 22. An exhaust gas containing odor components supplied into the pipe 10b of the exhaust gas introduction passage on the deodorization apparatus 11 main body side is heated at catalyst activation temperature or higher by a heater 24 in the downstream part of the second upstream pipe 10b, and while the gas is flowing in the downstream part of the second upstream pipe 10b, a prescribed amount of the odor components is decomposition-deodorized by heat. The exhaust gas decomposition-deodorized by heat or oxidation is discharged from a discharge opening 21b to be discharged outside from an exhaust opining through an exhaust fan. |
