PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form two-dimensional image data continued in a feeding direction by using one-dimensional image data input by a line sensor from a feeding printed matter. SOLUTION: The apparatus for inputting an image to input image data of a printing design by scanning a line sensor 10 from a web W (printed matter) printed by a printer and continuously fed at a predetermined period comprises a rotary encoder 14 for outputting a pulse signal synchronously with a feeding distance of the web W, an adder for adding line image data to be input by scanning the sensor at each pulse period, a number-of-lines measuring circuit for counting number of scans of a line sensor camera at each pulse period, a processor 16 containing a divider for sequentially outputting mean line image data obtained by dividing the line image data added in one period by the number of scans counted in the same period therein, and an image display unit 18 for sequentially displaying the mean line image data at each period as a unit. |
