PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic storage and retrieval system capable of performing input and output by attaching, to each article, a non-contact IC card incorporate with an IC recorded with article information. SOLUTION: A pallet loaded with articles is placed on an automatic traveling cart 4, article information is recorded in an IC card 6 attached to the pallet, the IC card 6 is read by an IC card reader 5, the information is transmitted to a control terminal 1 through an I/F part 2 and, based on the information, the control terminal 1 instructs the storing place for the article to the automatic traveling cart 4. |
