<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently refining a zirconium soln. and a method for efficiently refining and recovering zirconium from a raw material such as a zirconium ore contg. niobium and titanium. SOLUTION: Zirconium is selectively extracted from a zirconium soln. contg. 1-10 mol/l sulfuric acid by the solvent using 'Primene JMT(R)' as a primary amine and stripped by hydrochloric acid or nitric acid, and zirconium is refined. Otherwise, a zirconium mixture is dissolved in sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid, hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid is added to the soln. to adjust the hydrochloric acid concn. to 0.5-1.0 mol/l and the sulfuric acid concn. to 1-3 mol/l, zirconium is selectively extracted by the solvent extraction using a primary amine and stripped with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, and the zirconium is refined and recovered.</p> |
