PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust parallelism of a carriage shaft easily by providing one or more height adjusting base for supporting the carriage shaft on a printer frame thereby adjusting the height of the carriage shaft. SOLUTION: When a height adjusting screw 14 is screwed to project the lower end thereof from the lower surface of a height adjusting base 11, the base 11 ascends in the direction separating from a printer frame 10 with the edge on the shaft holding plate 12 side. When the height adjusting screw 14 is screwed to retract the lower end thereof from the lower surface of the height adjusting base 11, the base 11 descends to approach the printer frame 10. Since the inclination angle of the height adjusting base 11 is varied by screwing the height adjusting screw 14, and thereby height of the shaft holding plate 12 is varied, the height of a carriage shaft 7 can be adjusted. |
