PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare particles of an elastomer easily without making them fibers sticking or coagulating together like a cotton candy by splay-drying a dispersion which is obtained by adding, to an elastomer solution, small particles which are insoluble to the solvent of the elastomer solution. SOLUTION: As an elastomer, a thermoplastic elastomer, a synthetic rubber, a natural rubber and a gum arabic can be used. As a small particle to be used, the particle size is from tens of nm to tens ofμm, needs to be smaller than the size of the particles to be obtained by a splay-drying method and is preferably not more than a third of the size of the particles to be obtained in order to obtain elastomer particles which have uniform sizes and shapes. The material of the small particle can be either organic or inorganic such as synthetic and natural organic polymers, a silica, an alumina, a clay or the like. The compounding ratio of the small particle to the elastomer solution is 10-1,000 wt.% to the elastomer, preferably, 20-500 wt.%.
