PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus that is capable of preventing a film, on drawing out of the film, from slipping off from grasping bodies for the film that is being drawn out. SOLUTION: In a packaging apparatus wherewith a film that is being held is grasped and drawn out with a pair of grasping bodies 43 and 44 to a position where an article is covered therewith, the article is packaged with the drawn-out film and the packaged article is discharged, the grasping body 43 on one side of the paired grasping bodies 43 and 44 is constructed in a structure wherein an elastic member 62 is attached to a base body 61 and another grasping body 44 is equipped with a comb-teeth-shaped metal plate 66 having a plurality of comb teeth 66a arranged in the direction crossing the direction wherein the film is drawn out, and the surface roughness Rmax (the maximum height) at the film grasping surface 66b of the comb-teeth-shaped plate 66 is made 1.0μm or below.
