PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily confirm a printing position. SOLUTION: This printer comprises a print head section for performing printing on a medium and a carrier section having the print head section mounted thereon and being moved in a horizontal direction and performs printing on the medium by moving the carrier in the lateral direction and executing the energizing control of a print head. The printer further comprises a non- contact type bar code scanner including a visible light LED 15 which is provided to a side of the print head 14 mounted on the carrier section 13 and a printing position is confirmed by means of a light emitted from the visible light LED 15. |
