An anti-microbial treatment system for and method of disinfecting animal carcasses

This disclosure relates to an anti-microbial treatment system for disinfecting animal carcasses. The system includes a system for mixing two components of an anti-microbial liquid chemical and delivering a homogeneous mixture of such chemical to an application system for applying the chemical to animal carcasses to disinfect them. One such application system disclosed is a spray cabinet system comprising one or more spray cabinets, each of which is equipped with low-volume spray nozzles for spraying liquid chemical on carcasses transported through the cabinet. The entire system operates under the control of a programmable logic controller for controlling and monitoring the system and for recording and reporting data regarding the status of the system and components thereof.
