The ramp mechanism includes a static frame (5), a load ramp (2) for goods being loaded or unloaded, means (1) for raising, lowering and tilting the ramp, and a second frame that can be moved in relation to the static frame. The ramp and its manoeuvring means are mounted on the movable frame. An Independent claim is also included for a vehicle fitted with this ramp. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING - PREFERRED FEATURES : The ramp is moved by beams attached to the ramp by wires or chains. A hydraulic or pneumatic plunger forms part of the ramp manoeuvring means. The movable frame comprises an S-shaped beam (3, 4) mounted on rollers.
