PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reading quality by stabilizing the reading operation. SOLUTION: In the scanner head cartridge, a weight 7 is fixed to the holder body 6a by inserting the ribs 9 of a holder 6 into grooves 13a, 13b and 14 made in the weight 7 and tightening a fixing screw 16. After the weight 7 is fixed to the holder body 6a, claws 15 formed on the holder cover 8 are inserted into the grooves 11a, 11b, 11c and 11d in the holder body 6a thus completing assembly of the holder 6. Since the weight of a scanner head fixed with the weight 7 is substabtially equalized to that of the ink head, driving and acceleration of the carriage are stabilized similarly to the time when an ink head is used resulting in the enhancement of quality of a read-out image. |
