The method is carried out using dialyzer divided by diaphragm in two chambers and a sterile filter. A first bypass line leads from the outlet of the first chamber of the sterile filter to the dialyzer liquid drain line across a first bypass valve. A second bypass line connects the dialysis liquid supply line with the dialysis liquid drain line across a second bypass valve. Opening the second bypass valve after closing the first bypass valve and the temperature-conductivity measured with a first or a second measuring unit, and the measurement values are compared with specified temperature-conductivity values. Closing the second bypass valve, if the deviation from the specified temperature and/or the conductivity value is smaller than a determined limit value.
