A multi-chip module is used as a central power control device. All the necessary circuits such as microcontroller, microprocessor, memory, interfaces, device drivers and transformers are integrated on the same carrier card, as semiconductor elements. The elements are then sealed in one or more housings, arranged on a common substrate.
