The mechanism has tool holder frames (20) mounted in the form of drawers in mobile carriers (6). Each frame is made with centring and locking points, and a mechanism with a rod (62) which has a handle (67) for moving it manually within a bayonet slot (68) between locked and unlocked positions. The tool holder frame can have two centring and one locking point, each equipped with a mechanism controlled by a flexible rod and handle for manual operation of centring/locking mechanisms which can be actuated simultaneously or separately.
