The unit is in the form of a module that can be fitted on surface and has a motion sensor (26) that triggers the unit to issue a message in acoustic and visible form. The unit has a display (22), keypad (20) and information memory. Messages and notes are entered into memory using a front panel microphone (16). A loudspeaker (18) is provided for playback.
