The helix antenna has an antenna body (12) provided by a combination of 2 different plastics (21,23), only one of which can be metallized, for providing the antenna socket (24) and a helical conductor path extending from the socket and acting as the antenna coil (40). The antenna body has a central bore ((14) for reception of a relatively sliding, extendible antenna rod (16) provided with a contact foot (18). An Independent claim for a manufacturing method for a helix antenna is also included.
