<p>Cholesteric polymer P1 obtainable by a ring-opening metathesis polymerization ('ROMP') of (a) from 10 to 50 mol-% of a monomer with the formula (I): Z(B1)y; (b) from 90 to 50 mol -% of (b1) from 0 to 100 mol -%, related to the sum of the amounts of (b1) and (b2), monomer with the formula (II): Z(B2)y; (b2) from 0-100 mol-%, related to the sum of (b1) and (b2), of a monomer with the formula (III): Z(B3)y; or a strained cyclic olefinic molecule, wherein at least one of the monomers (II) or (III) is present, the mol-percentages of (a) and (b), and (b1) and (b2), resp., summing up to 100 mol-%, three-dimensionally cross-linked cholesteric polymers P2, the corresponding monomers, processes for its preparations, uses and pigment compositions.</p> |
