Expandable microspheres which each comprises a polymer shell and a foaming agent encapsulated therein, characterized by having an average particle diameter of 3 to 100 mu m and a coefficient of variation in particle diameter distribution of 1.50 % or lower; and a process for producing the expandable microspheres through suspension polymerization.
