Disclosed is a vegetation body for adding greenery to artificial planes. The inventive body is produced from a mixture of organic substrate particles, nutrients and synthetic material constituents, whereby said mixture is bonded to a homogenous solid body by adding foamed plastic constituents and bonding agents. The inventive vegetation body is characterized in that the mixture contains a proportion of organic substrate particles of more than 20 wt. %, whereby said mixture is foamed with bonding agents; germinative vegetable material such as seeds, shoots, rhizomes or the like are added and at least one side of the vegetation body opposite the top side is equipped with fire-resisting means.
