New sterilizing apparatus useful for disinfecting medical instruments such as endoscopes

A sterilizing apparatus is new and comprises a sterilizing chamber with a divider between the container (2) and the cover. The instruments are laid on a tray, to be placed in the container so that an end of the instrument and part of the tray are in the container and the remainder are within the cover. A pressure difference is generated, to cause a flow through the instruments. The instruments are cleaned with a cleaning solution, followed by a flushing solution, and the instruments are treated with a chemical germ killer. An Independent claim is included for an apparatus with a container with at least two separate and closed zones, divided by a separating surface which can be opened and closed.
