An apparatus for supporting a printed circuit board (PBC) (53) having various electronic components installed on one side with that side down so that other components can be installed on the opposite side. An assembly (12) of three perforated plates (36, 40 and 46) has rubber-like pins projecting through the perforations. Springs (22) below the assembly bias the pins (54) to a position extending above the plate. PBC (53) components press the pins down a distance equal corresponding to the components thickness. The center pin allows the PBC to be removed or replaced.
