PURPOSE:To prevent stop of growth and healthily rearing young pigs and improve yield of profits by feeding a specific amount of acetic acid to the young pig until the weaning period. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic acetic acid, preferably brewed acetic acid is used as acetic acid. Vinegar is especially preferable, since vinegar improves palatability of pigs. Acetic acid is freely taken in by adding it to drinking water and/or feed. Feed amount thereof is 0.01-0.5g/head of young pig. day as acetic acid and properly changed and controlled according to the age and weight of the each pig. Powder type substance obtained by absorbing brewed acetic acid in cyclodextrin or sodium acetate or mixing and absorbing it in wheat bran, hull chaff, lees of brewed acetic acid, sake powder, etc., is preferably used as an acetic acid-containing substance. |
