摘要 PURPOSE:To restrain the creation of beta-cadmium hydroxide when a battery is left after manufacture and the deterioration of initial capacity by using a mixture of potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide as alkaline solution during hydration. CONSTITUTION:Alkaline water solution in which sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide are mixed is used for hydration when a pole plate is manufactured, to obtain gamma-and-beta mixed cadmium hydroxide. The beta-cadmium hydroxide created during hydration has almost no disorganization if it is left. Accordingly, if a battery is left after assembled, less disorganization due to creation of beta-cadmium hydroxide occurs and charging acceptance is less detracted and so initial capacity is less lowered after it is left. With the mixture mole ratio of potassium hydroxide to sodium hydroxide is 60-80% in mixed alkaline water solution, the deterioration of battery capacity is restrained after assembled and excellent battery property is provided.
