PURPOSE:To enable recording at high speed without disconnecting a small-gage wire even at the time of recording by low energy by forming a foamed surface layer onto a substrate and specifying the smoothness of the surface layer. CONSTITUTION:A foamed surface layer is shaped onto a substrate, and the Bekk smoothness (JIS P-8119) of the surface layer is brought to 150sec or more. For form the foamed layer onto the substrate, expandable plastic fillers are applied onto the substrate together with a binding agent and dried, a hot plate is fast stuck onto the coated surface, and the fillers are heated and foamed. Hollow plastic fillers, which use a thermoplastic resin as a shell and the insides of which contain a low boiling point solvent as a foaming agent, are employed as the expandable plastic fillers. Consequently, since considerable irregularities are shaped in the surface of the foamed layer formed onto the substrate, the surface of the foamed layer is smoothed by calendering the surface. Accordingly, a distinct transfer picture can be acquired by low energy, thus attaining the increase of the speed of thermal transfer recording. |
