PURPOSE:To prevent a minor collision of a flying body with overhead power transmission lines by providing a signal transmitting device, which sends a signal showing the presence of an overhead power transmission line, on the overhead power transmission line and providing the flying body with a receiver which recognizes the presence of the overhead power transmission line by receiving the signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal transmission device 3 is mounted on each span of an overhead power transmission line 2 layed on a transmission steel tower 1. A receiver 6 on a helicopter 5 recognizes the presence of the overhead power transmission line by receiving a signal. When a signal carried by radio waves is received, a warning sound showing the presence of the overhead power transmission line is sent to a pilot and a warning is performed through a lamp installed at the pilot's seat. From among the plural received signals one with the highest intensity is separated. Based on the signal intensity, an approximate distance from the helicopter 5 to the signal generator 3 is calculated. It is notified to the pilot in the form of numerical display. |
