PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to enhance the pitch accuracy of electric conductive members so much even when said members are used in an elongated unit by aligning a plurality of small electric connecting members in parallel to each other to connect a recording element or driving element, so that each connecting member can be made small in size. CONSTITUTION:Recording elements 2, electrodes 14, 15, and electric connecting members 3 are provided on a recording element substrate 4. The connecting members 3 may be or may not be connected each other. When the connecting members are so arranged as not to be connected each other, a unit can be further prevented from bending by the thermal expansion of the substrate 4 or conductive members 3. The interval between the connecting members 3 can be determined in consideration of the difference in thermal expansion coefficient between the substrate 4 and connecting member 3. |
