<p>The dance shoe has an insert of a semi-rigid material such as natural or synthetic rubber or plastic, comprising a toe section and a shank with lengthwise ribs. The ribs are designed to hold a reinforcing element in the form of a curved strip e.g. of glass or carbon fibre. The toe section has a cavity for the toes, a flat tip and a removable shock absorber of a paste, gel or viscoelastic material, or an airfilled pouch.</p> |
