PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antibacterial preparation for an outlet useful for the prevention of the development of sliminess on and the degerming of a strainer when it is placed at the outlet of a sink by compounding an aqueous sterilizing agent and a specific compound having degerming activity attributable to gas effect. SOLUTION: One or two kinds selected from o-phenylphenol, hinokitiol, diphenyl and 2-isopropyl-5-methylphenol are compounded with an aqueous degerming agent. The example of the degerming agent is preferably benzoic acid, especially the concomitant use of benzoic acid and sodium benzoate. The antifungal preparation for an outlet is produced e.g. by forming the mixture of 10 pts.wt. of o-phenylphenol with 90 pts.wt. of benzoic acid under pressure preferably into a column-shaped tablet of 10g in weight and of 30mm in diameter. The preparation is placed in a perforated container made of a synthetic resin, and the container is hang inside a strainer. Thus, the preparation touches flowing drain to generate a non-chlorine gas. This works to dissolve sliminess. The compounding ratio of o-phenylphenol, etc., is suitably 0.5-30wt.%. |
