PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle navigator whereby a driver can instantly judge which direction he should advance even on a complicated intersection and he can roughly grasp his position on a map. SOLUTION: A road map in a wide range at a side of a starting point together with a present position of a vehicle is indicated until the vehicle comes near a beginning point node (a) (T1). When the vehicle approaches the beginning node (a), the road map including the beginning point (a), the position of the vehicle and a recommended passage are enlarged to be indicated (T5). The enlargement indication is executed until the vehicle comes near an end point node. When the vehicle approaches the end point node (YES at T7), the end point node together with a destination place is indicated on the road map in the wide range. |
