PURPOSE: To downsize a connector by simplification of a structure of an insulating housing and a shielding shell, and facilitate assembling work by this in the connector in which the shielding shell and retention legs are integrally formed to reduce the number of part items as well as to reduce a resistance value of electric continuity of ground. CONSTITUTION: A connector is provided with an insulating housing 1, contacts 2 fixed and held at a prescribed pitch in the insulating housing and a shielding shell 3 to be fixed to and held by a front surface of the insulating housing. The shielding shell 3 is molded on a main body part 31 and both sides out of a metallic material so as to have flange parts 32. Bending parts 36 are formed from end parts of the flange parts so as to backward extend by coming into contact with side surfaces of the insulating housing 1, and retention legs 37 are integrally formed in the printed circuit board installing direction in the bending parts, and locking parts 11 and 13 to lock and hold the bending parts and the retention legs are formed in a side surface part of the insulating housing. |
