PURPOSE:To combine the centering and alignment of a lens organically and to enable execution of operations in a short time and without causing an error, by holding and fixing the machining center of a spectacle lens by a suction cup holder at the time of lens-polishing machining of the spectacle lens. CONSTITUTION:A suction cup holder 14 is supported axially by a slide shaft 13 so that it can slide and rotate. A suction cup 15 is fitted on the axis of rotation of a lens to be machined in a machining process by a lens-polishing machine. One part of a grip 16 for fitting the suction cup 15 to the lens to be inspected is fixed to the suction cup holder 14 and the other part thereof to a device on the opposite side of the lens 6 to be inspected. With the grip 16 grasped by an inspector, the suction cup 15 is moved onto the lens 6 side and fixed thereon by suction. In order to prevent an entire load applied to the lens 6 from being applied to a nose piece 7 on the occasion, a spring 17 contracts when the load more than a certain force is applied to the nose piece 7. Thereby the lens 6 to be inspected is brought into contact with a cushion 18, the load applied when the suction cup 15 is pressed on is accepted thereby, and thus deformation of the nose piece 7 is prevented. |
